1909 general strike in Argentina
The Red Week was a general strike in Argentina, in May 1909. After police attacked an International Workers' Day demonstration, killing a number of the demonstrators, a coalition of the anarchist Argentine Regional Workers' Federation (FORA) and socialist General Workers' Union (UGT) declared a general strike.
