The Azov campaigns of 1637 and 1641, in Russian historiography known as Azov sitting, were a series of conflicts over the control of Azov fortress between Don–Zaporozhian Cossacks and Ottoman–Crimean forces from 21 April 1637 to 30 April 1642.
