Der Staatsstreich in Lesotho 1970 war ein Selbstputsch in Lesotho unter Fühung von Premierminister Leabua Jonathan. Er fand am 30. Januar 1970. Er führte zur Übernahme diktatorischer Macht durch Premierminister Jonathan, der das Amt seit 1965 innehatte. Auslöser des Putsches war der Sieg der oppositionellen Basutoland Congress Party über die regierende Basotholand National Party bei den Parlamentswahlen.
