In der Schlacht bei Dogali wurde am 26. Januar 1887 eine italienische Armeeabteilung von einem abessinischen Heer unter Ras Alula Engida geschlagen. Der Niederlage ging am 25. Januar 1887 die Belagerung von Saati voraus.
