The Buonvicino massacre was a crime committed on 19 November 1996 in Buonvicino, in the province of Cosenza, Italy, by the Carabiniere Alfredo Valente against his wife and her family, for reasons of jealousy. Valente was convicted of murdering six family members and was released from prison in 2021.
