Das Vulkanmassiv des Gunung Awu beherrscht den Nordteil der indonesischen Insel Sangihe Besar im Sangihe-Archipel. Die Flanken des Vulkans werden von tiefen Tälern durchschnitten. Der Kegel liegt in einer Caldera mit einem Durchmesser von 4,5 Kilometern.
