Auf dem United-Air-Lines-Flug 297 verunglückte am 23. November 1962 eine Vickers Viscount 745D bei Ellicott City im Howard County im Bundesstaat Maryland, USA. Zuvor war die Maschine mit mindestens zwei Zwergschwänen kollidiert. Bei dem Unfall kamen alle 17 Menschen an Bord ums Leben.
