2009 Peruvian political crisis
Indigenous-led anti–oil drilling protests
The 2009 Peruvian political crisis resulted from the ongoing opposition to oil development in the Peruvian Amazon by local Indigenous peoples; they protested Petroperú and confronted the National Police.
