Rebelión de O'Doherty
La rebelión de O'Doherty tuvo lugar en 1608 cuando el terrateniente Sir Cahir O'Doherty encabezó un levantamiento contra las autoridades en el noroeste de Irlanda. O'Doherty había sido partidario durante mucho tiempo de la Corona, pero después de haberse enojado por el trato que le dieron los funcionarios locales, lanzó un ataque contra Derry, incendiando la ciudad.
