The Shusha or Shushi massacre, also known as the Shusha pogrom, was the mass killing of the Armenian population of Shusha and the surrounding region from 22 to 26 March 1920. The number of deaths in the Armenian Quarter are estimated at 500, and in the surrounding region up to 30,000 Armenians were massacred.
