El terremoto de Chipre de 1222 ocurrió alrededor de las 06:15 UTC del 11 de mayo. Tuvo una magnitud estimada de 7.0–7.5 y desencadenó un paleotsunami que se registró en Libia y Alejandría. El temblor más fuerte se sintió en Nicosia, Limasol y Pafos. Muchas personas murieron, aunque no hay estimaciones del número total de víctimas.
