Incident during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine
On 3 March 2022, 47 people were killed in a series of airstrikes in Chernihiv by Russian forces during the siege of the city, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch described the strikes as a war crime.
