การลอบสังหารขัตติยะ สวัสดิผล
เหตุการณ์ลอบสังหารในประเทศไทย
เมื่อวันที่ 13 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2553 ได้เกิดการลอบสังหารพลตรี ขัตติยะ สวัสดิผล ด้วยอาวุธปืนสไนเปอร์แรงสูง ขณะที่พลตรี ขัตติยะ สวัสดิผลกำลังให้สัมภาษณ์สื่อมวลชนต่างประเทศบริเวณแยกศาลาแดง ภายหลังปฏิบัติการกระชับพื้นที่ของรัฐบาล หลังจากนั้น พลตรีขัตติยะ ได้ถูกนำตัวส่งโรงพยาบาลหัวเฉียวและโรงพยาบาลวชิรพยาบาลตามลำดับ อย่างไรก็ตามพลตรี ขัตติยะ ได้เสียชีวิต เมื่อวันที่ 17 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2553
