The Coniston massacre, or series of massacres, took place in the region around the Coniston cattle station in the territory of Central Australia between 15 August to 13 September 1928. It is the last known officially sanctioned massacre of Indigenous Australians and is considered by some to be one of the last events of the Australian frontier wars.
