Solar eclipse of February 5, 1962

Total eclipse

A total solar eclipse occurred at the Moon's descending node of orbit between Sunday, February 4 and Monday, February 5, 1962, with a magnitude of 1.043. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth.
