Immensum bellum
The immensum bellum was an armed uprising of Germanic tribes against Roman influence and exercise of power east of the Rhine. The revolt broke out in 1 AD under the governorship of Marcus Vinicius and ended with the renewed subjugation of the tribes in 4 and 5 AD by the designated Roman heir to the throne, Tiberius.
