Armistice of March 30, 1798
The armistice of March 30, 1798 allowed Toussaint Louverture to settle the details of the retreat of the British army from Saint Domingue, before the triumphal entry of the black general and his army of ex-slaves into Port-au-Prince on May 16, 1798.
