1945 年第二次世界大戦の太平洋戦域での戦い
マニラの戦い（マニラのたたかい）は、第二次世界大戦末期の1945年2月3日から同年3月3日までフィリピンの首都のマニラで行われた日本軍と連合軍の市街戦のことを指す。日本軍は敗れ、3年間に及んだ日本のフィリピン支配は幕を閉じた。70万人の市民が残留したままで行われた戦いは太平洋戦争では最大規模となる市街戦となり、10万人の市民が巻き添えで死亡した。
