Kampene på Storjord og Pothus
Kampene på Storjord og Pothus i mai 1940 sto mellom tyske soldater og allierte styrker. Da det tyske felttoget på sin vei nordover i Nordland hadde nådde Saltdalen, var Sør-Hålogaland regiment og britiske soldater gått i stillinger for å stanse fremrykkingen. Scots Guards hadde tatt stillinger ved Viskisbekken øverst i Lønsdalen.
