1952年にイギリス・イングランドで発生した列車多重衝突事故

ハーロウ&ウィールドストーン鉄道事故 は、1952年10月8日午前8時19分にイギリス・イングランドのウェスト・コースト本線ハーロウ&ウィールドストーン駅で発生した列車多重衝突事故である。駅に停車中の上り普通列車に後続の上り夜行列車が停止信号を冒進して追突し下り線を支障、そこへ下り急行列車が高速で進入し衝突した。これにより112名が死亡、340名が負傷するという大惨事となり、イギリス国内では1915年に発生したキンティンスヒル鉄道事故（死者226名）に次いで2番目に死者の多い鉄道事故となっている。この事故を契機として、自動列車警報装置 (AWS) がイギリス国鉄で普及していった。
