Anti-government protests
The Latin American Spring was a series of anti-government protests and uprisings that spread across much of Latin America between the late 2010s and early 2020s. These protests are a response to opposing neoliberal economic policies and negligence in the COVID-19 pandemic. The term was first coined by British newspaper The Guardian to describe series of escalation in Latin America in 2019.
