On January 26, 1992, inside their house in Hudson, Florida, a mother-son pair, 55-year-old John Bowers and 75-year-old Madeline Weisser, were murdered by three teenagers during a burglary attempt. Bowers was shot to death while Weisser was lethally stabbed in the neck by their attackers.
