2026 wildfire in Ontario, Canada
Thunder Bay 36 is a large wildfire burning in Wabakimi Provincial Park in northwestern Ontario, Canada. The fire started on 12 July 2026 and grew rapidly through mid-July; following aerial and ground remapping, it was measured at 314,000 hectares as of 29 July, making it the largest wildfire in Ontario's recorded history. It was created when the Dryden 13 fire and several other fires merged.
