Zunyi Conference
1935 meeting resulting in Mao becoming head of the CCP
The Zunyi Conference was a meeting of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in January 1935 during the Long March. The power struggle displaced the triumvirate led by Bo Gu and Otto Braun and was replaced by the faction headed by Mao Zedong, who took over military command and become the leader of the Communist Party.
