A French soldier is wounded by an unknown assailant while on duty in La Défense. The attack is being treated as a terrorist incident and is seen as a possible copycat attack to that of Lee Rigby, who was murdered in Woolwich four days previously.

Stabbing of a French soldier

On the afternoon of 25 May 2013, French soldier Cédric Cordier was attacked and stabbed in the Paris suburb of La Défense by a man who was later ruled by a court not to be criminally responsible for psychiatric reasons.
