Bombing of Bangkok in World War II

The city of Bangkok, Thailand was bombed by the Allies on numerous occasions during World War II because of its strategic importance as the logistic and command center for the Japanese Southeast Asian operations in their Burma and Malayan campaigns. Thailand would eventually declare war against the Allies on January 1942 making Bangkok a prime target for the Allied air forces.
