1770 treaty between Great Britain and the Cherokee

The Treaty of Lochaber was signed in the Province of South Carolina on 18 October 1770 by the British Indian Department official John Stuart and the Cherokee, fixing the boundary for the western limit of the frontier settlements of the British colonies of Virginia and North Carolina.
