1729–1769 conflict in Corsica
The Corsican War of Independence, also known as the Forty Years' War, was a conflict between Corsican nationalists and the Republic of Genoa, and later the Kingdom of France in its final phase. Initially a tax resistance movement, it quickly turned into a war of independence.
