阿马铁路事故 是1889年6月12日发生在爱尔兰阿马郡的一起铁路事故。当日上午，一列载有约940名主日学校儿童及成人的郊游列车自阿马开往沃伦波因特，因机车牵引力不足而停在长上坡的坡顶附近。押车的公司职员决定就地把列车分解为两段，先送前半列到下一站，再回头接后半列。分解完成后，机车为起步而轻微后退，撞动了仅靠一辆守车手制动固定的后半列。后半列十辆车厢随即沿坡溜逸，行约1.5英里后与迎面上坡的定期客车相撞，造成78人死亡、260人受伤，死者中有22人年龄在15岁及以下。
