埃斯佩兰斯海角海战
1942年10月爆发的埃斯佩兰斯海角海战（又译埃斯帕恩斯角海战），亦称为第二次萨沃岛海战，日方则称为薩沃島近海海戰，是第二次世界大战期间太平洋战场上的一次大日本帝國海軍与美國海軍之间的海上交锋。是役发生于所罗门群岛，瓜达尔卡纳尔岛（下简称瓜岛）和薩沃島之间的海峡入口处，是瓜岛战役的四场主要海战之中的第二场。埃斯佩兰斯海角(9°15′S 159°42′E)位于瓜岛最北端，本次海战即因此地而得名。
