東所羅門海戰
東所羅門海戰也稱為斯圖爾特島戰役，在日本方面，稱為第二次所羅門海战（第二次ソロモン海戦），發生在1942年8月24日—1942年8月25日，亦是第二次世界大戰太平洋戰爭中第3次航母戰役和瓜達爾卡納爾島戰役期間美國海軍與日本帝國海軍之間的第2大戰鬥。自從珊瑚海戰役和中途島戰役以來，雙方的艦艇即未曾在目視距離內交戰。反之，雙方所有的攻擊均是由艦載機或陸基飛機實施。
