Galatian-Seleucid battle circa 275 BC
The Battle of the Elephants was a military confrontation between the Galatians and the Seleucid Empire in central Anatolia around 275 BC. According to surviving descriptions, the Seleucids, commanded in person by Antiochus I, were victorious over a much larger force on account of their war elephants.
