1988 murder of a Bangladeshi worker in Singapore
On 22 January 1988, 20-year-old Bangladeshi national Mohamed Shafiqul Islam, alias Mohd Abdul Islam, was found murdered at a construction site at Bukit Timah, with his genitals severed off. Within the following month, the police managed to apprehend two Bangladeshi workers, who were responsible for causing Mohamed Shafiqul's death.
