The Armory Show opens in New York City. It displays the works of artists who are to become some of the most influential painters of the early twentieth century.

军械库展览会，即國際現代藝術展 是1913年美國畫家與雕刻家協會組織的一場大型藝術展，是美國史上第一場大型現代藝術展。這場藝術展共于三座美國城市舉行，第一場在紐約的第69兵团军械库（2月17日至3月15日），之後是芝加哥的芝加哥藝術學院和波士頓的科普利藝術學會，最後一場由於展位短缺，所有美國藝術家的作品都未能得到展出。這場展會在美國藝術史上有著重要的地位，新興的野獸派、立体派和未來派藝術給予了習慣了現實主義畫作的美國民衆以極大的震撼。美國的藝術發展在此之後也開始更加獨立起來。
