Am 13. Dezember 1932 stiess der Personenzug 554 Luzern–Immensee–Arth-Goldau mit dem internationalen Schnellzug 264 Stuttgart–Zürich–Luzern im Gütschtunnel bei Luzern zusammen. Dabei starben sechs Personen, 20 wurden verletzt.
