tuhoisa tulipalo marraskuussa 1808
Helsingin palo 1808 syttyi Suomen sodan aikana torstaina 17. marraskuuta 1808 ja jatkui vielä seuraavaan päivään. Se sai alkunsa nykyisessä Leopardi-korttelissa Aleksanterinkadun itäpäässä sijainneesta liiteristä, jossa kauppias Chedoniuksen rengin Gustaf Linqvistin lyhdyssä olleesta kynttilästä putosi huomaamatta pieni pala lattian heiniin noin yhden aikaan yöllä.
