Plymouth Blitz
WWII bombing of England
The Plymouth Blitz was a series of bombing raids carried out by the German Luftwaffe against the English city of Plymouth during the Second World War as part of the Luftwaffe's strategic assault on Britain. The attacks began in July 1940 and, after reaching their height in the spring of 1941, continued intermittently until 1944. The most destructive raids took place in March and April 1941.
