1549–1550 Ethiopian military campaign against Harar
The Ethiopian invasion of Adal in 1549–1550 was a pair of campaigns launched by the Ethiopian Empire against Adal Sultanate. The first campaign was led by Emperor Gälawdewos's general Fanuʾel, who defeated the Muslim sultanate of Adal, and, according to the Chronicle of Gälawdewos, had killed one of two rival Muslim rulers while the other managed to escape.
