Situé dans le département de la Mayenne à Hambers, le Montaigu est une butte régulièrement arrondie, avec chapelle au sommet, qu'on aperçoit non seulement du Maine, mais de la forêt d'Andaine en Normandie, des collines bretonnes vers Vitré et de toutes les altitudes de 100 mètres dans le bassin de la Mayenne, en Anjou.
