It is located in the Huancavelica Region, Castrovirreyna Province, on the border of the districts of Chupamarca and Aurahuá. Qarwa Q'asa lies west of Ichhu Rutuna, northwest of Wallu Q'asa and Phiruru Urqu and northeast of Wichinka Lake.
