The Battle of Bobbili, comprising the attack on the fort of Bobbili on 24 January 1757, was a significant event in the princely state of Vizianagaram. Tandra Paparayudu gained the sobriquet The Tiger of Bobbili for his fierce, ultimately futile resistance, and final vengeance.
