Keila lahing (1944)
Keila lahing oli heitlus Eesti üksuste ja Punaarmee 72. laskurdiviisi kiiresti edasi liikuva motoriseeritud eelsalga vahel 23. septembril 1944. Kokkupõrge Nõukogude peajõududega toimus paar kilomeetrit Keilast Tallinna pool, kuid kandus sujuvalt üle Keila keskväljakule, kus asus Omakaitse staap, mis pidas kogu aeg sidet Johan Pitkaga. Nende ülesandeks oli hoida trikoloori all Keilat vaid üks päev.
