Philippine–American War

Armed Philippine-American conflict (1899–1902)

The Philippine–American War, known alternatively as the Filipino–American War, Philippine Insurrection, or Tagalog Insurgency, was a 1898-1902 conflict between the United States and Filipino independence fighters after the Spanish-American War. The United States ultimately prevailed, and maintained control of the Philippines until independence in 1946, other than the 1941-45 Japanese occupation of the Philippines.
