Siege of Belgrade (1071)
The siege of Belgrade, or siege of Nándorfehérvár took place in the summer of 1071, when the Kingdom of Hungary launched a large-scale campaign against the Byzantine Empire taking advantage of the latter's difficult military situation in the southern and eastern border regions against the Normans and Seljuks, respectively. The siege lasted for almost three months according to the 14th-century Illuminated Chronicle.
