1936 armed confrontation in Spain
Events of Yeste is a colloquial name given to the armed confrontation between Guardia Civil and local agricultural workers and farmers which took place near and in Yeste on May 29, 1936. It was the second-bloodiest incident of this type during the lifetime of the Second Spanish Republic; it left 18 people killed and 29 heavily wounded.
