Licence-plate readers (ALPR)
Automated licence-plate reader cameras, such as Flock Safety’s, mapped by volunteers on OpenStreetMap through DeFlock, with the direction each one faces.
What you see
- Dots from zoom 3, details from zoom 9 and view cones from zoom 13.
- Click one for its operator, maker, the way it faces, what it is mounted on and when it was mapped.
Where the data comes from
- DeFlockHourly map tiles of the ALPR cameras tagged on OpenStreetMap.
DeFlock rebuilds its tiles from OpenStreetMap every hour.
Good to know
- Volunteers map what they find, so many readers are not on the map yet.
- The cone’s width and reach are typical values, not measured for each camera.
- The US and Canada only.
