The Battle of Kotor took place during the Hungarian War of Independence of 1848-1849 on 17 October 1848 between the Hungarian Revolutionary Army under the command of Major András Gáspár and the Croatian troops under Colonel Captain Georg Bornemissza, defending the Muraköz/Međimurje region.
