Rain radar
What ground weather radars see right now, stitched into one map: rain, showers and snow from the last two hours, looping so you can see which way it is moving.
What you see
- Radar frames every 10 minutes for the last 2 hours, played as a loop.
- Go back with Replay and the radar follows the time you are watching.
Where the data comes from
- RainViewerA worldwide mosaic of national weather radar networks.
New frames every 10 minutes, and the map checks every 5.
Good to know
- Only where there are ground radars: the open ocean and much of Africa, central Asia and South America have none.
- Past frames only; RainViewer’s forecast frames are left out.
- Detail stops at about zoom 7.
